Do you have a word that makes you cringe every time it's said?
"Tone" or "Toning" are those words for most personal trainers.
Tone/toning is an umbrella term used to describe muscle firmness. When used in its usual sentence is "To look more toned" or "To be more toned" you are saying to look or be more firm.
Did you know?
Firmness is a state of tension through the muscles. I don't know about you, but from my experience nobody wants to look or be tense at all times.
Being specific about what you want from your body is key, don't you agree?
What do you want? Decrease body fat percentage? Increase muscle size (hypertrophy)? The two together will improve muscle definition. Is this what you mean? If you have any other definitions, please put in the comments below!
